Earlier this year, Snap Kitchen and CRP connected to bring a new carry-out bag to life. Based in Texas, Snap Kitchen is an organic, sustainable eatery with grab-and-go options perfect for healthy lunches and mid-day snacks. Their main focus is on maintaining the freshest, local ingredients in their products farmed “as close to the source as possible.”
In order to achieve their sustainable goals for the company, Snap wanted to incorporate a paper bag into their carry-out program that complemented their reusable tote bag. With a storefront in Austin, TX, this bag also had to be compliant with legislation, which as of March 1, 2014 requires that all paper bags contain a minimum of 80% post-consumer waste, have carrying handles, and be 100% recyclable.
With this in mind, we helped the Snap team find a solution that complies with legislation, upholds their mission of having minimal impact on the environment, and showcases a spirited design to convey their brand story. The kraft bag is made of 86% post-consumer waste and is 100% recyclable, and is printed on flip-side paper, which causes the flood coat of color to fully come to life.
CRP Logistics warehouses the bags for Snap in our Houston distribution center and ships them out as needed to their restaurant locations in Houston, Dallas, and Austin.
“CRP was a pleasure to work with. They made the entire process — from soup to nuts — simple and easy. And most importantly, Snap Kitchen guests are not only raving about our bags, they’re posting Instagram messages about how much they dig ’em! Thanks, CRP!”
